Hello, and welcome to TheNextGame.co.uk!
TheNextGame is an Introversion Software fansite, and will be focusing on their upcoming release, Darwinia.
The site looks a little (read: totally) bare at the moment, but that will all change over the coming weeks (and probably months), so check back reguarly, you never know when something new might pop up.
Now, onto Darwinia!
Little information is availible at the moment - infact, the only info currently in the public domain is from a small, half page article that ran in PC Gamer this month, featuring 3 small screenshots and a brief description of the game. I wont be posting the screenshots on here just yet, as a courtesy to PC Gamer, though if you haven't seen them, let me assure you they look beautiful.
The description Introversion gives for the game is 'The world of Darwinia is a surreal and retro place, filled with epic fractal vistas and populated by iconic videogame sprites of yester-year.'
The basic story is that you get inserted into a network of retro videogames consoles, in order to fight some kind of virus, and the little information availible suggests that it will be some kind of Real Time Stratagy game. All of the landscapes are fractally generated, and all of the 'units' in the game seem to be 2d sprites, which makes for a very interesting look.

We've also been told that the next issue will contain a huge 2 page spread filled with info and screenshots of the game, so a lot more information will be availible then. In the mean time, I'll be adding more to the site about Introversion, and any other details I can glean on Darwinia.
